Messaging Systems Administrator

Location: Tulsa Area

Senior Messaging Systems Administrator to work as a part of a global team managing the corporate email and related messaging/collaboration systems. Strong emphasis on technical, teamwork, and leadership skills. This position will provide in-depth technical support for:
•Microsoft Exchange Server
•Microsoft Outlook client, Outlook Web Access
•Internet Mail Gateway (SendMail Sentrion)
•TrendMicro Scanmail
•Microsoft Office Communicator and Lync 2010
•RightFax
•BlackBerry Enterprise Server
•GOOD Mobile Control
•.NET applications
 
Responsibilities may include:
•Support (3rd level) to diagnose and resolve a variety of Messaging system problems for a global 24/7 operational environment, to include all products listed in the description section.
•Manage and resolve issues affecting Messaging systems (i.e. server/client problems, network outages, operational and disaster recovery, etc.).
•Provide project planning and coordination for InterOrg migrations to external domain using Quest Migration Manager tools
•Proactively identify ways to improve reliability and efficiency of Messaging operational environment (monitoring/management/reporting/trending) using 3rd party tools or in-house developed applications. Be able to document requirements and work with developing team to implement change in test and production environments.
•Maintain and develop in-house written .NET and vbscript tools and applications to support Messaging systems and business processes.
•Test and implement new software releases, patches, hot fixes in a lab environment to troubleshoot/prevent problems before production implementation, then deploy to production environment following corporate change management processes and procedures.
•Create and maintain documentation including architecture drawings, operating procedures, root-cause analysis associated with problems, project plans.
•Communicate effectively with different levels of staff and management including end users, other technical support administrators, and both technical/non-technical management.
•Provide technical expertise/management/leadership for projects to upgrade/replace any of the systems included in the Messaging Environment or new/upcoming technologies.

Basic/Required:
•Legally authorized to work in the United States
•Minimum 3 years experience supporting a large, distributed, multiple-routing sites Microsoft Exchange environment with 2 years on Exchange 2007.
•Minimum 2 years experience supporting BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.1 and 5.0 with multiple BES domains in a global environment.
•Minimum 1 year experience supporting a SendMail Sentrion email gateway.
•Experience with Quest Migration Manager for Exchange with minimum support of 1 complete migration from beginning to end for Exchange 2003, 2007 or 2010.
 
Preferred:
•Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in an IT technology-related discipline. 
•Experience managing projects involving Microsoft Exchange, BlackBerry Enterprise Server, SendMail Sentrion upgrades, or architecture changes.
•Experience supporting mail routing, various connectors, message tracking, mailbox administration/management, public folders administration
•Experience in performance monitoring, HP Proliant hardware and VMWare server builds, NetApp storage, backup and restore, disaster recovery. 
•Working knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating systems.
•Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, basic network troubleshooting tools.
•Strong understanding of distributed architectures and implications of WAN on a dynamic Exchange environment
•Familiarity with Remedy ticketing, resource manager and change management tools.
•Basic network security/firewall familiarity
•Experience with monitoring systems such as NetIQ or Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM).
•Familiarity with S/MIME certificates, email encryption, PKI infrastructure.
•Developer skills in the following: .NET framework to include ASP.Net, VBScript, Silverlight, Microsoft SQL 200x transactional database querying. SQL reporting services a plus.
•Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
•Motivated individual with self initiative to tackle challenging problems in operational or project roles with the desire to provide excellent customer service.
